The INEC 2027 General Election Ad-hoc Staff Recruitment is the recruitment of temporary Ad-hoc Staff for purpose of 2027 general election that are approaching.

Similarly, INEC means Independent National Electoral Commission. It is the constitutional body responsible for overseeing and supervising elections in the country of Nigeria.

ABOUT THE RECRUITMENT

The (INEC) Independent National Electoral Commission has announced the activation of the INECPRES online platform for interested and qualified candidates who wishes to serve as ad hoc staff for the upcoming 2027 General Election in Nigeria.

However, The recruitment of ad-hoc staff is scheduled to start on 18th, September 2026 by 8:00 AM and close on18th, November 2026 at 12:00AM.

All the eligible candidates will be able to submit their online applications via the INEC website and designated INECPRES platforms as usual.

The INEC 2027 General Election Ad-hoc Staff Positions

The INEC 2027 General Election Ad-hoc Staff Recruitment have different positions, and each position have a specific qualifications/Documents that require that can help the applicants to apply successfully,

The positions are as follows:

1. SUPERVISORY PRESIDING OFFICERS SPOs

The requirements for the position is include:

Should be Federal Public or Civil Servants with GL 10 to GL 14.

The INEC Registration Area Officers (RAOs) and other eligible INEC staff who are not engaged in other duties.

An also an applicant should be Currently Serving as NYSC Corps Members.

Similarly,Former NYSC Corps Members who successfully completed their service not fast than 3 years before the 2027 election, and  those who served in years of 2024, 2025 or 2026 are included.

However, a currently students from Federal and State tertiary institutions are eligible to apply, including  the final year students and eligible students in years 2 and 3 of study also.

2. PRESIDING OFFICERS (POs) AND ASSISTANT PRESIDING OFFICERS (APOs) I, II AND III

The required sources of recruitment include:

Applicants should eligible permanent staff of Federal and State (MDAs) with  NCE or OND qualifications and the required grade level of lower credit

Similarly, Eligible staff of Federal and State tertiary institutions are added.

Additional, Eligible students of tertiary institutions.

3. RAC MANAGERS

The requirements for the position are include:

The Heads of schools and eligible staff of schools hosting Registration Area Centres, subject to the applicable qualification and grade requirements.

Eligible INEC staff.

4. REGISTRATION AREA TECHNICAL SUPPORT RATECHs

The sources required include:

The Industrial Training students from various Federal and various State tertiary institutions is eligible to apply.

Additional,Former Corps Members who served with INEC, where av.

All the Suitable ICT staff of the Commission at State levels and Headquarters levels who are not engaged in current duties that would conflict with the assignment.

Work Of INEC Ad Hoc Staff Positions

Therefore, the final 2027 recruitment exercise into different positions will be on 18th, September 2026, applicants may see positions similar to those previously listed on INECPRES.

1. Presiding Officers (POs)

The Presiding Officer is an election official assigned to manage the activities of a polling unit in a period of an election.

2. Assistant Presiding Officer (APOs)

Similarly, the Assistant Presiding Officers support the Presiding Officer In many  assigned polling-unit responsibilities.

3. Supervisory Presiding Officer (SPOs)

The supervisory presiding officer supervises election activities across a group of polling units or other designated areas, depending on INEC’s operational scheduled.

4. RAC Manager

The Registration Area Centre Manager performs duties connected with the management of a designated RAC during the election process.

5. RATECH

Registration Area Technical Support personnel provide technical assistance for election technology and related activities where required.

• Active mobile phone number
• Valid bank account number
• Recent passport photograph
• Contact details of referees
• Valid Staff ID or Student ID where applicable
• NYSC Call-Up Number where applicable
• Highest educational qualification
• Valid means of identification

ELIGIBILITY

The candidates are strongly advisedto be carefully confirm that they filled within one of the eligible categories specified by INEC for the relevant ad hoc position.

• All the Employees in Federal or State public institutions.
• Permanent INEC employees.
• A Currently serving NYSC corps members is include.
• A currently Higher institution students is eligible to apply.
• The required  qualifications should include:OND, NCE or Degree/HND qualifications.
• A good grade levels for civil servants and other eligible institutional staffs is important.
• Having Relevant ICT experience for RATECH positions in needed.
• Being Present to participate in the naccessary election assignment and any require training activities where naccessary.
• To Have experience in Network devices (phone, laptop, table desktop).
