Jobs Description:-
The State Vaccine Officer/Consultant position at Talent Lab Ltd is a public health field role focused on strengthening immunization services and improving vaccine coverage within the assigned state (Nasarawa State, Nigeria).
Main Responsibility:-
- The State Vaccine Officer will supervise field vaccination teams,
- Supporting outreach campaigns, and ensure vaccines are delivered efficiently to both urban and hard-to-reach communities.
- The role also involves collecting, analyzing, and reporting vaccination data to track progress and identify gaps in coverage.
Purpose Of The Job:-
- The job is aimed at protecting public health by increasing vaccine uptake.
- Preventing outbreaks of vaccine-preventable diseases.
- Supporting the achievement of national immunization targets in the state.
Key Responsibility:-
As a State Vaccine Officer, you will be responsible for the followings duties in the organization that includes:-
- Coordinate vaccination and immunization programs across assigned LGAs in Nasarawa State Nigeria.
- Monitor vaccine distributions, storage, and usage to ensure proper cold chain management is applied.
- Work closely with health facilities, community health workers, and local government health teams
- Collect, analyze, and report immunization data accurately each and every time.
- Support outreach, fixed and compaig programs to increase vaccination coverage in rural and underserved areas.
- Ensure compliance with national and WHO immunization guidelines
- Conduct field supervision visits and provide technical support to vaccination teams
- Identify challenges in vaccine delivery and recommend solutions
- Participate in training programs and capacity-building workshops for health workers.
- Promote awareness campaigns on the importance of immunization for childs and adults in communities.
Qualifications:-
Education:-
- Bachelors Degree/HND in MBBS, Public health, Nursing or related field.
Experience:-
- 2-3 years Previous experience in immunization programs vaccination compaign.
Skills:-
- Experience with WHO or UNICEF- SOLINA AFENET supported programs.
- Knowledge of disease prevention and control strategies good is added.
- Ability to manage field teams any more.
- Data interpretation and reporting skills.
- Problem-solving and leadership abilities as to do.
